Digital Communications Associate (Social Media & Web)

Eurasia Group is seeking a Digital Communications Associate to join our Communications team in New York. You will manage Eurasia Group’s social media channels and the company website, reporting to the Communications team. We are an ambitious and collaborative team that encourages ideas and likes to experiment, analyze and learn.

 Responsibilities:

  • Manage Eurasia Group’s social media channels, including content creation and curation, maintaining a content calendar, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Contribute to Eurasia Group’s website, including copywriting, content creation, basic updates, and creating landing pages.
  • Write and publish content about the firm and Eurasia Group’s views on international politics that is engaging, non-partisan, and on-brand.
  • Design and create social promotion assets, such as graphics, GIFs, and promotional videos, with support from our design team.
  • Grow our digital community and engagement, primarily via an organic content strategy, and occasionally via paid media.
  • Collaborate with the digital marketing teams at GZERO Media and the office of the president on coordinated strategies for publishing and audience engagement.
  • Develop and run digital campaigns to promote specific initiatives including events, report launches and other public opportunities.
  • Maintain the Eurasia Group website by creating new content and landing pages as needed and evolving the site to align with the firm’s growth and needs, as well as user behavior and trends.
  • Pull and analyze social media and website data to assess and report on content performance internally and to other stakeholders as relevant.
  • Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to optimize an evolving strategy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, political science, or relevant field
  • 3+ years of previous experience in a social media, publishing, journalism, or related position in a digital media environment
  • Strong editorial judgment and ability to translate editorial content into concise and compelling social copy; excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise with various social media platforms – including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram – and hands-on experience with social analytics, including platform analytics offerings and CrowdTangle, Shareablee, Tubular Labs, etc.
  • Growth-minded digital media native with expertise in publishing operations, CMS operations, and content metadata
  • Knowledge of social media scheduling software (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or comparable platforms)
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics/Google Search Console, or other analytics and search tools
  • Strategic thinker who is comfortable working independently and exercising sound judgment about Eurasia Group’s public voice and engagement.
  • Strong prioritization skills to ensure the highest priorities are always taken care of, and work is on target to reach goals, even in chaotic periods
  • Highly organized, acute attention to detail, and a forward planner
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and juggling a variety of campaigns at one time
  • You are an enthusiastic consumer of news about international politics and savvy about the many channels, outlets, and influencers active in this space. 

 

This role is based in New York City and is a hybrid work model. Applicants must have authorization to work in the United States.
